We are a robotics research & development company which develops and commercializes technology for the Energy industry. We provide turnkey solutions from design to installation. We have immediate need to add a valuable team member to our technical services staff. ULC Robotics Career AdWe are currently seeking a robot operator capable of performing shop and field work utilizing our specialized tools and processes, and our robotic inspection and repair systems. Although we are based out of Long Island, NY, the position will be based out of the New England area. Please respond via email with your resume to hr@ulcrobotics.com, references and a brief description of yourself, what makes you unique or what hobbies or “extracurricular” activities you do that may be relevant to the position. Also, please feel free to send pictures or examples of your past work that you believe to be relevant. The ideal candidate will be electrically and mechanically inclined, interested in robotics, professional, and be capable of understanding the critical nature of our work.

Responsibilities include:

  • Become an expert of our processes and systems
  • Operate robotic systems in live gas mains in both the New England and New York areas
  • Be responsible for the quality and quantity of work completed in the field and in the shop
  • Generate field reports, digital video and other required documentation as needed
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs in the field and shop
  • Represent our company in the field – manage client expectations and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Be responsible for system and vehicle readiness prior to and during deployments
    • Spare Parts
    • System Testing
    • Ensuring all systems are operational
    • Availability of sealants, Nitrogen and alcohol
  • Be on time to jobsite and responsible for setup, operation and removal of system daily
  • Willingness to travel and work non-standard days/hours as necessary

The ideal candidate:

  • Has a technical background – engineering, technology, machine shop, electronics
  • Will have an interest or background related to robotics or remotely controlled tooling
  • Is very hands on and is mechanically and electrically inclined
  • Has experience troubleshooting complex problems
  • Is capable of accurately completing reports outlining daily work performed
  • Can remain cool under pressure
  • Possess leadership skills needed to advance in our company.
