PRX250 High Pressure Gas Camera
Pushrod Mini-Camera Inspection System for Live Gas Mains up to 60 psi
The ULC Robotics High Pressure Gas Camera PRX250 is a unique, internal inspection system for live gas mains with 4- to 12-inch diameters. The system includes a high-resolution color mini-camera, a button-operated variable-speed feeder, a 5-inch reel-mounted LCD monitor, and a 14-inch case-mounted CRT monitor. With the PRX250, live gas mains can be inspected more efficiently, accurately and safely than ever before.
Easy Access
Developed specifically for the inspection of live gas mains, the PRX250 features an easy access entry system that works with conventional tapping equipment at pressures up to 60-psi no-blow. The camera launches effortlessly through a 1.5-inch vertically tapped hole in pipelines with diameters from 4 to 12 inches.
Safe, One-Man Operation
The PRX250 Gas Camera incorporates a motorized power feeder that gives the operator precise control over movement of the camera—with forward and reverse at variable speeds—via a convenient handheld pendant. This enables a single operator to power the PRX250 through the pipe while at the same time viewing the monitor. By eliminating the need to push the rod by hand, a single operator can perform live gas main inspections at a safe distance from the excavation. Once the inspection is complete, the camera docks easily in the launch tube.
Superior Image Quality
The system includes a rugged, high-resolution camera with ultra-bright LED lighting designed to operate in very low light conditions. The camera is coupled with a wide-angle lens and a unique, self-deploying centering device. Together these produce bright, sharp images of the circumference of the pipe for truly accurate visual inspections.

Applications
